About the WWA

The WWA is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the great sport of wrestling throughout the state of Wisconsin. Our mission is to provide leadership, resources, and support to help wrestling coaches, officials, past coaches, and wrestling enthusiasts at all levels develop successful programs that enrich the lives of student-athletes.

Founded in 1957, the WWA has grown into a thriving community of coaches, officials, and wrestling enthusiasts, united by our shared passion for wrestling and commitment to excellence. We represent individuals from youth, middle school, high school, and college programs across Wisconsin.

As an association, we strive to:

• Advocate for the interests of wrestling programs and coaches in our state
• Offer educational opportunities through clinics, conferences, and mentorship programs
• Recognize and honor outstanding coaching achievements and student-athlete success
